Sharon shares in the book of how she has two identical jars in her workroom. One contains three-fourths full of sand and the other contains fist-sized rocks. The jar of sand represents activities on a day: work, shopping, school, cleaning and daily projects. The other jar contains the rocks representing what God wants us to do: spend time with Him, study His Word and pray.
She goes on to say that, “If I fill the jar with large rocks first, then, amazingly, I can pour all the sand into the same jar and it fits in nicely around the spaces and the crevices. However, if I begin by filling the jar with sand and then try to squeeze the rocks into the same jar, they won’t fit.”
